RIOTORO announce a trio of new cases at Computex 2017

RIOTORO is a rather new brand on the PC scene, first appearing on our radar at last year’s Computex with a range of cases and keyboards.

This year, RIOTORO has appeared once again with three new chassis designs, the CR500, the CR1080 and the CR1288. All of these cases will be priced at under $169, with expected shipping dates in early Q3 2017.

Starting off with the CR500 we can see that the chassis is designed with a simple aesthetic that offers an elegant aesthetic with a beautiful tempered glass side panel from which to view your PC components.

Sadly, RIOTORO has not been completely clear regarding this cases specifications, though it is said to offer a dual barrel case design with support for a 240mm radiator at the top of the chassis. This case will cost $79.99 at retail.

The CR1088 is designed as a dual barrel case that splits the users PSU and storage devices from the GPU and CPU/motherboard section of the chassis, allowing this case to offer a lot of cable management options and support up to 15.7-inch long GPUs with ease.

In all, this case measures in at 394mm x 230mm x 360mm, with support for ATX motherboard and up to two 3.5-inch hard drives and three 2.5-inch drives.

This chassis will arrive at retail stores with an estimated price of $89.99 in Q3 2017.

Last but not least is RIOTORO’s new CR1288 Prism RGB chassis, which will come with a black and red colour scheme with RGB LED lighting on the inside of the case. On the front panel of this case, RIOTORO offers full RGB control options and a large number of USB ports on the front IO.

This case is easily the largest of these three new cases, again coming with a dual chamber design that will isolate the PSU from other parts of the system. This case will retail for $159.99 USD and will be available to purchase in Q3.

Personally, I would have like to see this case with a black/grey aesthetic, as the red highlights ruin the effect that is provided by the cases internal RGB lighting. For the red colour scheme to work the user case will either need to be illuminated with white or red LEDs on the inside, as other colours would simply clash.
