AMD to release A10 7890K APU and a new Stock CPU cooler

AMD will soon be releasing a new Godavari APU for their FM2+ platform, offering base clock speeds that are higher than the boost clock speeds of AMD’s previous iterations and more impressively keeps the same 95w TDP.

This new APU, the A10-7890K will have a base clock speed of 4.1GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.3GHz and has a GPU clock speed of 900MHz, which is a huge increase from the 3.7/4.0GHz CPU speeds and 720MHz GPU clock speed of AMD’s original A10 7850K.

AMD to release A10 7890K APU and a new Stock CPU cooler

What AMD offers with this new APU is a great improvement in efficiency, offering a very large increase in both CPU and GPU clock speeds while maintaining the same TDP, which is a highly impressive feat given the fact that there have been no architecture changes and is still using the same 28nm processing node.

AMD have revealed their new Wraith CPU Stock Cooler

AMD have also been showcasing their new Wraith CPU cooler, which is said to operate at a tenth of the noise of AMD’s previous sock cooler and 24% more cooling fin surface area to give AMD CPUs both cooler and quieter operation when using AMD’s stock cooler.

Right now AMD’s A10-7890K APU is due to release in Q1 of this year, though we do not know at this time if it will come with AMD’s new Wraith CPU cooler.
