Webpage listing from ASRock’s website have confirmed the existence of four new Intel X299 motherboards and a single AMD X399 boards.
 
Intel’s new X299 platform will support the companies new Skylake-X CPUs, which are rumoured to support up to 12 CPU cores. Below are several web page listings that detail four new motherboards and list Intel i9 branding, though sadly these listings do not list any useful specifications for these motherboards.

AMD’s upcoming 16-core Threadripper series CPUs are rumoured to come on a new motherboard platform called X399. ASROCK has now listed a Fatal1ty series X399 motherboard called the X399 Professional Gaming, though sadly this listing reveals no detailed specifications.

AMD’s Threadripper CPUs and Intel’s Skylake-X series of processors are expected to make an appearance at Computex 2017, which will take place between May 30th and June 3rd.
