First AMD Phenom Rig in the Flesh

First sneek peak at the new AMD Quad Phenom Processor with 2 x 2900XT's in Crossfire, playing the new John Woo Game, Stanglehold.

We just got the chance to play around with AMD's newest quad core system, the Phenom RD790 and a pair of ATI HD2900XT graphics processors.

There's a whole lot of cooling going on, thanks to John Woo's new game Stranglehold. AMD is still mum on pricing and final specs, though they did reaffirm their desire to ship this sucker in "early Q4" of this year.

CPU - £30
Motherboard - £40
RAM - £40
PSU - £55
GFX - £90 each, £165
HDD - £12

So in total thats £342, I would say £460 in total if its pre-built and the buyer doesn't know that much about PCs

Your kidding?

CPU-£20 (There less than £25 new)
Motherboard - £30-£40
PSU - £40 (£50 new)
GFX - £80 each
HDD - £10

You might even struggle to sell for £200 as C2D is so cheap now

OK, CPU is £20 new. Motherboard should fetch £40, and I was taking it that he had a Type-R which are more expensive than Type-M. 7800GTXs sell for £100 on eBay, and your looking at £25 for a 80GB hard drive so £12 seems reasonable ;)

Just sell it to someone who doesn't have a clue :yumyum:

I reckon u could push £300 as a unit. Seperately u could get more for some, but probably fail to sell others.

Ya that`s the thing with some stuff.

@prosser13 - trouble is it could have been oos for months, likeyhood being it`ll never come back into stock >.< I had a chip to replace like that sometime last year, and alothough I found it oos in alot of places, they`d never give a time it`d come back into stock. Had to salvage what I had cos I wanted athlon not sempron.

I know, which is why I quoted higher - those deals appeared for a short time and I haven't really seen them in stock much/at all since
