Microsoft Releases “Power of DX12” Trailer

Today Microsoft has released their new “Power of DX12” Trailer, showcasing several upcoming DirectX 12 titles, including a DirectX 12 version of Just Cause 3, suggesting that a DirectX 12 update will be coming to the game.

DirectX 12 is a ground-breaking Microsoft technology that gives game developers the ability to harness the full capabilities of a PC’s GPU(s) and raise the bar on graphic fidelity and immersive gameplay.

In this new video Microsoft showcases the many benefits of DirectX 12, offering up to 20% more GPU performance and up to 50% better CPU usage and reduced latency, all of which will improve your gameplay experience.

In the trailer several DirectX 12 titles are also showcased like Ashes of the Singularity, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, Quantum Break, Gear of War Ultimate Edition, Fable Legends, Just Cause 3 and the 3DMARK Time Spy Benchmarking utility.

DirectX 12 has been the fastest adopted graphical API in over a decade, which is due in part by the fast adoption of Windows 10 and also by the fact that DirectX 12 is compatible with current hardware.

DirectX 12 offers a lot of very useful benefits for gamers, allowing us to make better use of our hardware and for games to become much simpler to develop.
