MSI make AMD Core unlocking easy

MSI were the first manufacturer who could unlock a 4-core AMD CPU to a 6-core because they don’t use a hardware solution. MSI engineers developed a BIOS technology to unlock cores which can be easy upgraded by installing a new BIOS.

Because of their flexible BIOS core unlocking feature, MSI can today announce that it made BIOS unlocking easy and accessible for the big audience who don’t know their way around a BIOS. MSI’s new software tool allows users to unlock CPU cores from Windows with just a few simple clicks, no need to enter the BIOS. The software is available from the MSI website and supports all MSI AMD800 mainboards.

I would love that but that would put me out of my price range.

both the X6 chips are easy to overclock, so reaching the 1090T clocks shudnt be a problem.
obviously you loose out on the black edition goodness.

The 1090T is $100 more. I'm sure you can get the same performance as the 1090T no problem as all the specs are identical. Save your money and get the 1055T.

Looks like a decent set-up man.

if youre going for the 1055, and want a cheaper board (to have more money for other things) look at the one I got (Gigabyte 790x USB3), dunno how it fairs against higher end boards but I'm very satisfied with it.
