AMD's Vega Frontier Edition is now available to Pre-order

AMD's latest Radeon Vega Frontier Edition GPUs have now appeared for pre-order at the UK retailer Scan and the US retailer Sabre PC, coming in both air cooled and liquid cooled variants and 16GB of HBM2 memory.

These GPUs are also listed as having 13.1 TFLOPS of GPU performance, which will give these GPUs clock speeds of 1600MHz given the GPU's known stream processor count of 4096.

The air-cooled version of this GPU comes with a price tag of £1139.99 in the UK and a price of £1656.49 for the water cooled version, with the water cooled version being likely to maintain boost clock speeds or some other kind of high-performance profile for longer than the air-cooled variant.

AMD's Radeon Vega Frontier Edition is designed for professional use and not for gaming, so please do not consider this as an "early access" version of the RX Vega.

AMD's Gaming oriented RX Vega is not expected to release until the end of next month, coming with lower prices than the Radeon Vega Frontier Edition and with a gaming focused driver set.

And a gold shroud

Funny part is both are anodised so you are literally paying £500 for an AIO.Quote

It's really pathetic seeing people quite literally losing their minds on the various facebook articles over this when they all apparently didn't read that this is a workstation card.

Faith in humanity keeps getting worse and worse.Quote
