Fallout 4 Looks Great!

Fallout 4 season pass detailed

It has been announced that Fallout 4 will have no platform exclusive DLC and that all DLC will be released on the same date for all platforms.

This was announced by Pete Hines, VP of public relations and marketing for Bethesda on Twitter when asked if the Xbox One will get any downloadable content early or if it will be released on all platforms simultaneously. Hines reply was short and clear “We aren’t doing a DLC exclusive with anyone”.

Fallout 4 season pass detailed

Fallout 4’s season pass has already been announced to be coming in at $30 and contain a similar amount of DLC that Fallout 3 had, which was 5 add-ons.

Bethesda have said that they “know that it will be worth at least $40”, though they will not go into any details as they say that it will spoil some story elements of the DLC and the base game.

Bethesda have also said that they will be providing free DLC/updates for the game which will add new features to the game based on player feedback and fix any issues that players may have with the game at launch. Bethesda say that they will “We’ll work with all of you to figure out what new things you’d love to see added to Fallout 4,”.

Fallout 4, like it’s predecessor, will also support modding with Bethesda’s Creation Kit which will be released in late 2015 or early 2016. This will allow fans of the game to create and customize Fallout 4 as they see fit, hopefully providing players with as much additional gameplay that modders have brought to previous games like Skyrim and Fallout 3.

As always with Season Pass content we do not recommend that you purchase it until you have information on exactly what the DLC for the game will be and when it is coming, as in the past many gamers have had to suffer exceptionally long waits for any worthwhile DLC. A big example here is Bioshock Infinite, where players had to wait several months before knowing when or what the games DLC would be after the game’s initial release, leaving Season Pass purchasers very annoyed.
