The Overclockers Kingpin has managed to overclock Nvidia's GTX 1080 Ti beyond 2.5GHz using LN2 cooling, with a sizable memory overclock of 12.5GHz from the GTX 1080 Ti's stock memory clocks of 11GHz.

This overclock easily beats out the world record GTX Titan X Pascal overclock, which was overclocked to just over 2.3GHz, giving this GTX 1080 Ti a significant performance advantage. In 3DMARK Time Spy this GPU was able to achieve a score of 13291, easily topping the HWBoT charts as the fastest single GPU Time Spy score.

This record was achieved on a system which used a GTX 1080 Ti with a listed boost clock speed of 2157MHz, though in reality, the GPU boosted beyond 2.5GHz during use. CPU wise this system used an i7 6950X with an overclock of 5.1GHz and uses 3200MHz quad-channel memory with tight 13-13-13-28 CAS timings.

It is likely that this new 3DMARK Time Spy record won't be beaten for some time, given the huge overclocks used in this test and the cost of the hardware required.

You can only get 2.5GHz with an EVGA GPU the other brands will fall short.Quote

Lol, it's an Kingpin, not like a GPU any average gamer would get... So your statement falls short.Quote
