ATI recently demonstrated its R600 cards to partners and it appears that they are happy with the results. The GDDR4 version and the official launch is still apparently scheduled for March, some time probably shortly before Cebit. The partners are happy with the performance and they are confident that the R600 can give the G80 a run for its money.

The first R600 with GDDR3 memory was a huge card, the biggest ever built but the GDDR4 version will end up a bit shorter. The first R600 was significantly longer than Nvidia's G80.

That is exactly why I do not want an office job. As soon as a computer does something that I have spent so long setting up my pc not to do I just want to put my foot through it :)

I want to beat my work pc to death, the military loads so much crap on it and restricts it so much its basicly worthless... 99% of the time I can't open links, a lot of websites are restricted, it's slow as molasses up hill (threw in a gig of Corsair RAM I had lying around my apt., better than the 256mb I had to run Win2000)(I probably misspelled molasses, but what the hell), NO VIDEO CARD, still has WMP7 :cussing: ... I hate it.
