PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS has been updated to support 6+ core CPUs

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has quickly become one of the most popular games on Steam, despite the fact that the game is still in early access and the recent controversies surrounding the game's recently released microtransactions.

In the game's latest client update, several client optimisations have taken place delivering an "optimised UI" and support for 6-core or higher CPUs. This additional multi-core support should allow the game to run better on CPUs with more than four total threads, which should certainly please those running Intel i7 or Ryzen 5+ CPUs.

At this time the performance impact of this new update is unknown, though it will certainly help the game run better in CPU limited scenarios. This update also addresses several bugs that were found within the game, which are listed below.

Bug Fixes

- Improved character animation when using throwables while prone
- Fixed a bug that occasionally disabled voice chat on the Starting Island
- Fixed a bug that caused your character to stand before crouching when revived
- Fixed a bug that prevented players from rebinding Unarm to an alternate key
- You can now see the mark from the character you are spectating on both the Mini Map and World Map
- Fixed a visual bug with the scope while a character you are spectating is prone on a hill
- Fixed a bug caused by changing "Graphics" - "Quality" - "Effects" from Settings
- Improved the wrist positions on the steering wheel

Serious ???

It's the new s.... It's 100 players getting airdropped onto a huge map, and then it's Hunger Games. Kill or be killed. And the circle on the map gets smaller and smaller to force players together. Really fun. And you can play Solo, Duo og Squad(4).

It's trying to make it as real as possible, and as a soldier i can say, that they are actually doing quite a good job Quote
