MSI’s GX273 Gaming Laptop with Turbo Boost
The MSI GX273 comes with a power boosterMSI have come out with a cool offering from gamers – their new GX723 laptop with a turbo boost feature. The 17in gaming machine will be a treat for gamers and movie buffs alike, claims the manufacturer.
New games are being developed everyday with new extremes that demand more both from players and their systems. Keeping this in mind, MSI have created a special gaming laptop that they believe fulfils this requirement beautifully.
The MSI GX273 comes with a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor, 500GB of storage space and 4GB of DDR2 memory that can be expanded up to 8GB. The Intel PM45 chipset is accompanied by NVIDIA’s GeForce GT 130M graphics card, giving the machine good graphics processing power.
The 17in screen boasts of a 1680 x 1050 resolution. When combined with the DVD super-multi drive and 5 speakers that give 4.1 channel surround sound, the laptop becomes an equally attractive package for movie freaks. Additional features include Wi-Fi 802.11n, 2MP webcam, four-in-one memory card read and three USB 2.0 ports.
Impressive features! But if MSI are to be believed, the best feature of the laptop is the turbo boost button, which when pressed, boosts the CPU power by 16 percent. According to MSI, the machine operates better and “to the best of its abilities” once the boost button is flicked on. The only caveat is that your machine should be connected to the mains.
MSI will be asking £999 for this gaming system, with availability starting later this month.
