Nvidia Shield K1 Tablet, same specs, lower price

When Nvidia’s Shield tablet was released many people regarded it as the most powerful gaming tablet out there, containing PC grade graphics which simply powered through Android games like nothing else. It also was one of the first devices on the market to bring to the table In-Home Streaming capabilities, allowing PC gaming to no longer be restricted to the office.

As a former owner of the Nvidia Shield I simply loved the device, it was more powerful that I really needed and was simply one of the best built tablets of it’s time. Now the Shield tablet has returned to the scene, with the same powerful specs and a much lower price.

Even now the Shield tablet is one of the most powerful tablets out there, almost unrivaled when it comes to pure gaming potential. Now it comes with a few less accessories, like the Nvidia Stylus, but still comes with the same Nvidia Kepler powered K1 SoC and still thrashes any other tablet in it’s price range.

It is fantastic to see Nvidia making their powerful Shield tablet much more accessible with this much lower price, but the lack of a Stylus is really something which may make several buyers hold off on the purchase.

Right now the new Shield K1 Tablet is available for the price of £149.99 at Overclockers UK.
