Silverstone Fortress FT04 Review
Up Close:Â Exterior Overview and RoofÂ
Whereas the RV04 case reviewed recently by Tom was more performance based the Fortress FT04, with it’s sleek curved single piece Aluminium Front door and minimalist roof vent have more of a low key impact on the eye. That’s not to say it’s any less impressive, with it’s curving lines have more than a hint of the Art Deco about them.
Â
Those familiar with the Fortress Series and for that matter a great many other cases from Silverstone will already be at ease with the concept of having the window on the right hand side of the case. For those of you who are as yet uninitiated, this, at first view might seem paradoxical. It does though make as much sense to have it on the right as it does on the left, and even more sense for those of you who’s desk and room layout dictates that the case must be placed on their left.Â
Â
The roof, like the Front door is made of aluminium, with only the removable PSU vent cover being made of plastic. All of which affords the FT04 a great feeling of class and quality.Â
Â
The mesh vent, although unfiltered is easily removed and refits snuggly without distorting the lines of the roof.
