Logitech G213 Prodigy RGB Keyboard Review

Logitech G213 Prodigy RGB Keyboard Review

Introduction

Logitech have an enormous range of keyboards to suit almost every budget and demand. Indeed the chances are that most of the people reading this will have used a Logitech keyboard at some point. The Logitech K740 is the keyboard upon which 90% of the reviews for this very website have been typed.

If you look through the Logitech selection it is clear that a lot of them are swimming against the tide a little bit. As more and more manufacturers are focussing upon mechanical keyboards with per key lighting, the Logitech range generally goes for gaming-focussed features across a variety of switch types from the simple scissor and membrane options up to their Romer-G switches. Even when they do a mechanical they eschew the Cherry MX that we usually see.

The G213 Prodigy promises RGB lighting, but without the mechanical keyboard cost and shorn of some of the more esoteric features seen on other Logitech models. Let’s see how it fares.

Technical Specifications

In keeping with the stripped down aesthetic the G213 feature list is pretty brief. We have RGB backlighting, USB connection, and some “small quantity” spill resistance. Useful if you gently bump your coffee or spray your drink when looking at a particularly stupid forum post, but it wont save the Prodigy from a full on liquid dump.
