OC3D & Aria Christmas like fest!
That festive time is upon us once again, you'll no doubt be spending all of maybe even more cash than you actually have trying to keep those special people in your life happy? Well to OC3D and Aria YOU are the special people we want to keep happy so over a glass of mulled wine and one of Aria's home made mince pies with half a bottle of brandy in we tried to work out what you would really want for Christmas?
After a great deal of debating and some seriously slurred words thanks to the potent mince pies we came up with this list of epic prizes:
1st Prize: Asus VG278H 27" TRUE 120Hz 3D Widescreen LED Monitor with NVIDIA 3D Vision 2.0 Glasses - Black
2nd Prize: Gladiator MSI Z68 Core i5 2500K 4.60GHz 8GB Overclocked Bundle
3rd Prize: GIGABYTE Intel i5-2500K Gamer Bundle
4th Prize: Asus GeForce GTX 550Ti 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
5th Prize: ASUS GeForce GT 520 Low Profile 1024MB GDDR3 PCI-Express Passive Graphics Card
So with that massive haul of prize you are no doubt expecting us to make you jump through hoops and complete the Marines assault course right...? Wrong! All you need to do is like the Aria & OC3D Facebook pages and that's it! Anyone that has liked both pages will automatically be entered for the competition.
Step one: Like the Aria Facebook page.
Step Two: Like the OC3D Facebook page.
Optional: Anyone that shares the competition posts on both the OC3D & Aria pages will get an EXTRA entry thus doubling your chance of winning.
You can also increase your chances of winning by getting all your family and friends to enter for you, its Christmas the more the merrier!
Closing date for the competition is Monday 9th January 2012 at 14:00 GMT
You must like BOTH pages to enter
Anyone that shares both of the competition posts on Facebook will get ONE extra entry
Entries from family members and friends accepted - More the merrier!
Winners will be picked at random that Afternoon and announced on the OC3D and Aria Facebook pages only.
No cash prize alternatives.

My TV does 2D to 3D conversions and BF3 looks amazing in 3D although it's not native 3D so it's not perfect. Anyway, already liked both pages months ago so i'm already entered
Also, thanks OC3D and Aria for the comp.*
...but i have updated my FB status to the YT info you gave
good luck everyone

Make an account just for this, OC3D and a few other places are the only reason I even have a FB no one else I know uses it, well a couple do but the only have a FB for the sake of having a FB. |
also so many places that have it blocked
trying to force people to share their information with a unsecure 3rd party (who in turn share this info with hundreds of companies) for a competition is pretty bad
everyone who is on facebook, remember you are the product
You could always use your username from here instead of your real name as well.
|
True, but if you don't fill any personal details in apart from your real name you should be ok. Also don't use your main email as the email for your FB use your spam email account for that. You could always use your username from here instead of your real name as well. |
but stuff like this just funds & promotes facebook
instead of getting clicks onto the oc3d and aria websites facebook are getting the traffic
but my question was serious as so many people cannot access facebook and there are others who do not want to access it
I don't find understanding so far, and they must find a simple way to unlock facebook page. Imagine that I have any personal data at their disposal, they are in control of my identity ported in the virtual environment, and they don't want to get back to me; I haven't guarantee that it will remove them, although I asked it.
About how much is it to ship to the states?
How do we share the competition posts?
|
Hate to be a downer but isn't liking to enter a competition against facebooks guidelines? http://www.facebook.com/promotions_guidelines.php |
Remember No Likey No lighty
Thanks to OC3d and Aria.
Good luck all and Merry Christmas
From a closet fan, good luck to everyone
my post on FB "Richard Styles shared on my page as well as on the oc3d forums UkGouki
wont let you share on the oc3d page just to my own wall but it did let me share on aria's page
|
too many reasons to not have or use facebook also so many places that have it blocked trying to force people to share their information with a unsecure 3rd party (who in turn share this info with hundreds of companies) for a competition is pretty bad everyone who is on facebook, remember you are the product |
like on supernoodles, ages ago, they did a comp where they hid money in the packets, but no purchase was necessary to enter, if you bought a packet, you either won, or didnt, but if you didnt wanna buy one, you could send a letter to the factory, and they would open a packet for you, and send you money if you won (yer right
my heart sank when i read it was only to facebook members, it feels like persecution
I guess liking on facebook allows people who don't know about OC3D and Aria to find out about these sites - one hand washes the other - and you stand a chance to win some prizes . You don't get something for nothing .... do you .
In the words of The Umpire , in the song that rips off John Mc Enroe for being a brat at Wimbledon all those years ago , -
" If you don't like it here , then you shouldn't come , frankly Sir , you're a pain in the bum "
2nd , 3rd or 4th prize for me please .
Chalk Dust - The Umpire Strikes Back
My Facebook profile - for profiling , and keeping various security agencies aware of my where-abouts .
But like some others have said, this is the WORST way to run a compo, and tbh is not the way either company should encourage traffic.
/greetings from the Shaky isles
Though I really am not much of a Facebook man. I ave it yes but tis not all that imho.

I entered anyway (I'm in the US) and liked both FB pages and shared both contest posts....
Perhaps in the future it should say in the rules if it's worldwide....
Thanks for the opportunity once again.
Of course, if you don't enter then you've no chance of winning
Good luck all!
|
Thanks but no thanks. I refuse to be baited into helping artificially inflate a site's popularity in exchange for a "chance" to win something I have no chance of winning. I hate the way facebook looks and the way it's organized and resent when people try to bait me to "like" a site or user. |
No facebook/hyves and what not more..........
Hey maybe a FAH comp
i could use a GPU to Fold again .............
|
OC3D have teamed up with Aria to bring you some awesome Christmas goodies. Always fancied going 3D? Well you need to read on! |
Happy new year anyways.

Save that for the attention seeking homos

i've liked both pages for months now... but the chances of lightning striking twice in the xmas comp's draws is rather unlikely ...but i have updated my FB status to the YT info you gave good luck everyone |
so, for those of you who haven't entered this yet... get a move on
if you've got facebook, you stand as good a chance as everyone else who has already entered
good luck all
