Samsung NVMe 960 M.2 Evo 500GB Review

Introduction

We've only just looked at the flagship model in the new Samsung 960 range, the Pro, and found it to be gobsmackingly good.

However, we and Samsung both know that not everyone has the deep pockets necessary to fund such a lavish purchase, and so we're also putting their more affordable 960 Evo through its paces and also doing so in a less outlandish 500GB capacity. Okay 500GB is still plenty, but in comparison to the 2TB of the 960 Pro it's well within most peoples budget.

Does the Evo stand up well to its bigger brother? How does it perform when hot? All these questions and more are answered in today's review, the Samsung NVMe 960 Evo M.2 500GB. Read on, Macduff.
