PC gamers rejoice – Octopath Traveller 2 now has a free demo on PC
Demos are becoming a more common sight on PC and consoles, and we are all for this trend. If developers are confident in the quality of their game, why not allow gamers to try it out before they invest their hard earned cash into it? Octopath Traveller 2 has become the latest PC game to receive a free demo on PC, allowing gamers to play the prologue of the highly anticipated “HD-2D” RPG.
This free demo will allow gamers to play three hours of Octopath Traveller 2’s early sections, and allow players to play as all of the game’s eight protagonists. Save data from this demo version will carry though to the full game when it becomes available on February 24th, should gamers decide to purchase it.
Octopath Traveller 2’s visuals utilise the same retro pixel art style as the original and its unique “3DCG” augmentations. In many ways, Octopath Traveller 2 looks like a classic pixel art RPG, but Square Enix’ modern twist on this style brings the game right into the modern era.
As a game that is destined to launch on Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC, Octopath Traveller 2 is a game that does not require a PC with uber-tier specifications to run. Below we will include Octopath Traveller 2’s PC system requirements, which call for an RX 470 or a GTX 1060 6GB of 1080p 60 FPS gameplay using the game’s “Highest” preset.
