Blizzard increases the prices of WoW account services in the UK and EU
Blizzard increases the prices of WoW account services in the UK and EU, including the prices of character transfers, name changes, race changes and character boosts.
These changes will be put into effect on April 5th, with Blizzard issuing the following statement regarding these new changes.
We carefully review the prices of our games and services in all currencies on a regular basis, and we occasionally need to make changes based on regional market conditions,
Below is a list of WoW’s price changes, though the subscription price for the game will remain unchanged, so users can avoid these price increases by avoiding these services.
- – Character transfers going from €20 to €25/£19
- – Name changes going from €8 to €10/£9
- – Race changes going from €20 to €25/£19
- – Faction changes going from €20 to €25/£19
- – Character boosts going from €50 to €60/£49
Many players have been quick to point out that services like Character transfers are already much cheaper on competing services, with Final Fantasy €14/£12 for a character transfer to a new server. This is €11/£7 cheaper than WoW’s new prices.
