Firaxis Games has teased an upcoming XCOM 2 Expansion
Firaxis Games has teased an upcoming XCOM 2 expansion pack, stating that “the real war” will begin soon. This new expansion will be announced at the PC Gaming show at E3 2017, which will take place on Sunday, June 12th at 10am PT (6PM BST).
Those that have finished XCOM 2’s campaign will know that the Elders, the oppressive aliens enemies from the series, were running from another alien opponent, stating that “They will come for you, as they did for us”. Does this mean that another alien race appears in this new expansion?
Others have suggested that this new expansion will be based on XCOM: Terror of the Deep, a game that takes place after the original XCOM. In this game, XCOM is reformed and has to fight against an Alien race that has emerged from the seas of Earth. This second option can fit into the new XCOM timeline, after the events of XCOM 2.
