Game releases 20 minutes of Assassin’s Creed Origins Gameplay

The UK games retailer GAME has released 20 minutes of Assassin’s Creed Origins gameplay, giving PC, PS4 and Xbox One players an idea of what to expect from the title.

All footage shown was captured from an Xbox One X, which ran the game at 30FPS, not 60FPS like YouTube would suggest, though the game was not entirely free of graphical issues and animation glitches. This is expected given the fact that the game is still in active development, though at least the gameplay looks fun.

The video starts with the game’s protagonist staring at a river over an Egyptian desert landscape, with the player moving to follow a character that is on a boat, leading him to commander his own vessel to chase him down. The footage shown can be viewed at resolutions up to 4K, though YouTube compression does still harm the game’s visuals significantly.

Assassin’s Creed: Origins will release on October 27th, with the game releasing on PS4, Xbox One and PC, though the PC versions of Assassin’s Creed games are often delayed until weeks or months after the console release of the title.
