10 minutes of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Gameplay
Ninja Theory has released 10 minutes of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice gameplay before the game’s official release on August 8th on PC and PS4.
The game itself appears to have a combat system that is reminiscent of Bloodborne, focusing on well-timed dodges and the use of some arcane abilities. The player also seems to have multiple voices that speak to her, which add greatly to the game’s atmosphere and Senua’s sense of madness.
This game comes from the Cambridge-based developer Ninja Theory, the developer behind games like DMC and Heavenly Sword. One thing to remember here is that the company’s PC version of DMC was very well made, running maxed out on even the most mediocre of systems at the time.
The development team behind this title is small, comprising of only 20 full-time members who have worked tirelessly to match AAA gaming quality despite their small size. As can be seen in the trailer below the game will offer some breathtaking graphical quality while also offering satisfying gameplay.
The game itself will be based in the Viking era with heavy Celtic influences, with the titular character Senua embarking on a quest into the underworld to find the soul of a lost lover.
Ninja Theory has also released the game’s minimum PC system requirements, requiring either a GTX 770 or an R9 280X on the GPU side or a minimum of an i5 3570K or an FX 8350 on the CPU side. This game will be based on the new Unreal 4 Engine, with the game being expected to run on the DirectX 11 API.
