EA reveals Burnout Paradise Remastered for PC, PS4 and Xbox One

Electronic Arts have announced that they will be releasing a remastered version of Burnout Paradise on PC, Xbox One and PS4, offering enhanced visuals, 60FPS gameplay and all of the game’s DLC, including the console only “Big Surf Island” expansion. 

This Criterion classic will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One X on March 16th, releasing at a native 1080p resolution at 60FPS on both base consoles and a 4K resolution on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The PC version of this remaster will launch “later this year” on Origin after the initial console release. 

At this time EA has not spoken about a Nintendo Switch version, making it unlikely that a handheld version of this racing classic will be released anytime soon.  

 

Right now it is unknown whether or not EA plans to offer a discount for owners of Burnout Paradise’s original PC version, which to this day lacks the title’s “Cops and Robbers” game mode or “Big Surf Island” DLC. The original game is still available to purchase on both Origin and Steam, with the former selling the game for just £5.09 for the title’s “The Ultimate Box” version.
