Ubisoft has officially revealed Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, bringing the franchise to Ancient Greece where players can take the role of a Greek mercenary who will turn into a hero throughout the events of the game.

At the start of the game, players can choose to play as either Alexios or Kassandra, male and female protagonists that will be playable throughout the entirety of the game, which when combined with the games multiple endings and story path will provide gamers with their most varied Assassin’s Creed experience to date.

The game will take place during the Peloponnesian war, where Athen and Sparta alongside their respective allies are duking it out over control Greece. Gamers will be able to participate in this conflict in large battles that can be up to 150 vs 150 strong, a first of the Assassin’s Creed series.

Below are eight minutes of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey gameplay, which can be played at a resolution of up to 4K with a framerate of 30FPS.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will release on October 5th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
