Denuvo’s removal from Two Point Hospital provides no performance benefits

Earlier this week, Two Point Studios and SEGA removed Denuvo’s Anti-Tamper tech from Two Point Hospital via a beta Hotfix/patch. This beta update allowed Two Point Hospital to be played both with and without Denuvo, creating an opportunity to test the performance impact of technology.

DSOGaming conducted some quick performance tests within Two Points Hospital, finding that the game didn’t offer higher performance levels when Denuvo was disabled, or a notable increase in CPU utilisation.

The only difference between both versions of the game is that initial loading times are faster when using the game’s beta update, making the game take slightly longer to load when Denuvo is active. No load time differences were recorded in Two Point Hospital after the game’s initial loading screen, making Denuvo’s impact on the game almost non-existent.

In Two Point Hospital, there were recorded no in-game performance benefits from removing Denuvo. Hotfix 1.02 is now live to all players of Two Point Hospital, removing Denuvo from the game for all players.
