Warhammer: Chaosbane gameplay reveal – Diablo with a little more Chaos!

Warhammer: Chaosbane was announced at earlier this year, acting as the first Action RPG (ARPG) to ever take place in the Warhammer Fantasy Universe. Until now the game has lacked a publically available gameplay demo, but that has now changed thanks to the release of a commentary video from developer Eko Software.

What happens if you add a little more Chaos into the gameplay of Diablo? That is perhaps the easiest way to describe Warhammer: Chaosbane, which sits in the middle of Old World history after the Great War against Chaos, with the gameplay video below coming from Nuln, the old capital of the Empire.

Other areas within the game will include the city of Praag, with the game including playable human, high elf, wood elf and dwarfen characters. Enemies within the game will no doubt include Chaos, with the video below showcasing the servants of the Chaos God Nurgle, the god of disease.

In the video below co-op gameplay is showcased as well as single-player combat, showcasing an imperial captain and a high elf mage, both of which offer distinct playstyles. The video below ends as two players fight against a Mutalith Vortex beast, with both players activating bloodlust, a temporary stat boost that gives players extra speed, and new skills for a limited time.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is the first Hack N’ Slash set in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles universe. Step into the Old World, taking up arms as you engage in an enthralling story, collect loot and team up with friends as you take on the forces of Chaos.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is developed by Eko Software and published by Bigben Interactive, the company behind Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor – Martyr. Chaosbane is expected to release on PC and console platforms and has no known release date/timeframe.
