Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey will be a year-long Epic Games Exclusive

It has been confirmed that Panache Digital Games’ Ancestors: The Human Odyssey will be a year-long Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, with the game coming to other PC storefronts, including Steam, after the title’s exclusivity agreement expires.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is being published by Private Division, the same publisher that signed up The Outer Worlds as an Epic Games Store exclusive earlier this year, setting a precedent of Epic Games Store timed exclusivity for their future game releases.

The Humankind Odyssey is a third person open world survival game where the player aims to survive, explore and evolve their clan with each passing generation, giving later generations new physical traits while passing knowledge, tactics and tools to the clan’s later generations. The game will progress as the player’s clan evolves and grows in numbers, introducing new threats as players explore Neogine Africa 10 million years in the past.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is due to release sometime in 2019 on the Epic Games Store, arriving one year later on Steam and other PC platforms.
