G.SKILL Launches Dual-Layer Transparent Crystal Crown Keycap Upgrade Sets for Mechanical Keyboards

G.Skill has just launched a series of new Crystal Crown keycap upgrade kits for mechanical keyboards, allowing users of keyboards with cross-shaped MX-style to upgrade their keyboards with dual-layer RGB optimised mechanical keycaps.

This dual-layer design allows users of these keycaps to take full advantage of their keyboard’s RGB lighting features by increasing the visibility of the keyboard’s integrated lighting solution. This allows mechanical keyboard users to give their keyboards a new look without purchasing an entirely new keyboard.

In the US, G.Skill has already launched White and Black keycap kits for standard ANSI 104 NA English keyboard layouts. Sadly, G.Skill has not confirmed whether or not additional language/layout options are in the works. These keycaps will be backed up by a two-year warranty and will ship in the US with an MSRP of $19.99.

With Cherry’s MX keycaps offering users incredibly long lifespans, these keycap upgrade kits allow mechanical keyboard users to alter the look of their premium keyboards without replacing their entire keyboard.
