Intel has just launched five new NUC series laptop kits onto the OEM notebook market, delivering to customers barebones systems Tiger Lake processors, high refresh rate IPS screens and Geforce RTX 30 series graphics cards.

Meet Intel’s NUC X15 series, reference laptops kits that should soon be available through major OEMs. With these designs, Intel is delivering the full gaming laptop experience, giving Intel control of how their processors are powered, cooled and operated.

Intel’s NUC X15 reference laptops will ship with Tiger Lake CPUs, 1080p 144Hz/240Hz  and 1440p 165Hz screen options, support for up to 64GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory, PCIe Gen 4 storage compatibility, and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity options. Intel created these NUC laptops to exploit the full potential of their latest hardware.

Moving forward, we expect Intel to continue creating new NUC Gaming laptop kits for OEMs, and these units will likely include Intel Xe graphics cards, replacing the Nvidia chips used in today’s NUC X15 units.

Intel’s NUC X15 laptop kits will be available through OEMs, which means that these laptops will likely be available through custom PC manufacturers like PCSpecialist and their competitors.

With CPUs as high-end as Intel’s i7-11800H, these laptops will feature up to eight CPU cores that will operate with base/boost frequencies of 2.3GHz to 4.6GHz. The full specifications of Intel’s NUC X15 laptop kit are available below.

We do not know the pricing or retail release timing of Intel’s NUC X15 laptops. We expect to see these notebooks hit retailers soon, as Intel should launch these products through OEMs before the release of Alder Lake later this year.
