Styx: Shards of Darkness is currently available for free on GOG
For the next 72 hours, Styx: Shards of Darkness will be available for free on GOG
As part of the storefront’s Black Friday sale, GOG are offering PC gamers a free copy of the stealth-action game Styx: Shards of Darkness for free on their Storefront. On top of that, Sony’s Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection has become available DRM-free though GOG for the first time.
Styx: Shards of Darkness is a game that primarily focuses on stealth. Players control Styx, a goblin thief and assassin. While goblins are weaker than other races, players can make up for this with Styx’s abilities, allowing them to kill enemies in a variety of ways. That said, this is a stealth game, so open combat is not ideal.
Sadly, the GOG version of this game lacks support for the co-op features of its Steam version. To make up for this, all GOG copies of the game come with Styx’s “Skenash set” DLC. This DLC gives players access to an additional outfit. If you are interested in how this game runs on PC, you can have a look at our PC performance overview for the game. This game is from 2017, which means that you can expect it to run well on all modern gaming PCs.
PC gamers can redeem their free copy of Styx: Shards of Darkness for free on GOG. GOG’s Black Friday Sale will end on November 28th. Until then, a huge number of GOG games will be available with steep discounts. All games on GOG are DRM-free, which means that they have no online sign-in or activation requirements.
