Ubisoft officially reveals Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition after early build leaks

Beyond Good and Evil is getting a 20th Anniversary revamp in early 2024

Ubisoft has confirmed that Beyond Good and Evil is getting a new 20th Anniversary Edition. This reveal comes after the company accidentally released an early version of the game through their Ubisoft+ subscription. Currently, the game is due to release in early 2024. The company provided no update on the game’s planned sequel, Beyond Good and Evil 2, which was revealed in 2017.

Currently, now much is known about Beyond Good and Evil’s new version. An accidental Xbox store listing for the game would support 4K 60 FPS gameplay on Xbox, and improvements to the game’s graphics, controls, and audio.

The original PC version of Beyond Good and Evil remains available today though Steam and Ubisoft Connect. Presently, it is unknown if existing owners of the game on PC will get a discount or a free upgrade to the game’s new edition.

An early development version of Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition was recently released to some Ubisoft+ subscribers by mistake. We apologize for any confusion and want to assure our community that this version is not indicative of the final game.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the unfinished version of Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition on Ubisoft+ “is not indicative of the final game.” Newer builds of the game likely feature improvements that are not present in this early version. The final build of the game should feature better visuals, bug fixes, and more.
