Satisfactory is leaving early access in September
Satisfactory 1.0 is releasing this September
Coffee Stain Studios have announced that Satisfactory’s highly anticipated 1.0 update will become available on September 10th. This means Satisfactory leaving Steam Early Access. Once the game leaves early access, it will be available at a higher price as a “finished” game.
Right now, Satisfactory has an asking price of £27.99. During the Steam Summer Sale, the game is available in the UK for £13.99 on Steam. This makes now the perfect time to purchase Satisfactory ahead of its 1.0 release.
With update 1.0, Satisfactory will feature an updated world map with new, altered, and removed resource nodes. This will encourage players to expand across the map and enable new possibilities for the “beautiful conveyor belt spaghetti” that is typical within Satisfactory worlds.
Satisfactory will also receive a range of new optimisations to allow the game to run faster on PC. The game has moved to Unreal Engine 5.3, and steps have been taken to reduce stuttering and to reduce the game’s memory requirements. Optimisations to DLSS, FSR, shadow rendering, level streaming, and more have been worked on to make the game run faster on all gaming PCs. Dedicated servers will also see improvements with version 1.0.
Satisfactory has changed a lot since its initial reveal, and soon the game will be officially hitting 1.0 status. Let’s be clear here, Satisfactory’s development won’t end with update 1.0. The game will simply become feature complete and polished enough to no longer be considered as an “early access” experience. This is a a major milestone for Coffee Stain Studios, and we hope that the move to version 1.0 goes smoothly.
