ADATA pushes the limits of PCIe 5.0 with their new LEGEND 970 PRO SSD
ADATA delivers 14,000 MB/s speeds with their new LEGEND 970 PRO SSD
ADATA have pushed their SSD lineup to new heights with their latest PRO series drives. With their new LEGEND PRO 970 series, ADATA are pushing the limits of the PCIe 5.0 interface with sequential read/write speeds of up to 14,000/11.000 MB/s.
For context, ADATA’s existing LEGEND 970 SSD delivered sequential read speeds op up to 10,000 MB/s. That means that their new PRO model is up to 40% faster! That’s a huge improvement for ADATA’s new PRO series SSD.
With their new PRO series SSD, ADATA are offering users capacities of up to 4TB. 1.8 million IOPS 4K random read, and up to 1.3 million IOPS 4K random write speeds have also been promised. These performance levels are again much higher than ADATA’s older 970 LEGEND SSD.
With this new SSD, ADATA has added a dual-layer aluminium heatsink that features active-cooling with its built-in micro-fan. This cooling solution keeps this ultra-fast PCIe 5.0 drive cool under load. This ensures that users can utilise the full performance potential of this SSD for demanding workstation use cases.
This new SSD supports the latest Intel and AMD motherboard platforms and is backed by a 5-year warranty. We expect to see this SSD on store shelves soon.
