NZXT reveals Black and White N9 X870E motherboards for Ryzen 9000

NZXT’s new N9 X870E are its highest-end AMD motherboards to date

NZXT are taking their AMD motherboards to the next level with their new N9 X870E designs. For starters, these are the first NZXT motherboards to get the N9 designation, with all prior motherboards being N7 models. Beyond that, these new motherboards also feature integrated RGB lighting and a new aesthetic.

To our knowledge, this motherboard’s white version is also NZXT’s first motherboard to feature a white PCB. This elevates the look of the N9 870E, and makes it feel like a more premium product. Hardware-wise, these new motherboards are a step far above NZXT’s existing N7 650E AM5 motherboard.

This motherboard features a 20+2+1 power phase design with 110A Smart Power Stages (SPS). Furthermore, it features WIFI 7, 5G ethernet, and two USB4 40Gbps ports. Additionally, NZXT’s N9 X870E features one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot and three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. Plenty of space for all of your storage needs.

NZXT says that it stands with AMD and its plans to support AM5 until 2027+. This means that NZXT’s new N9 X870E motherboard will receive long-term BIOS support. This motherboard will support AMD CPUs years into the future. Ryzen 9000 will not be the end of AM5.

Another neat feature of these motherboards is their support for NZXT’s 8-pin combo fan headers for their RGB Core single-frame fans. The RGB lighting on this motherboard can be controlled through NZXT’s CAM software.

NZXT N9 X870E Key Features:

  • AMD AM5 Socket: Ready for AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series desktop processors.
  • Advanced Power Solution: A robust 20+2+1 power stage design (110A SPS) and 8-layer, low-loss 2oz copper PCB ensure exceptional stability and overclocking potential.
  • Optimized Thermal Design: Stays cool under pressure with a high-performance VRM heatsink array (optimal fin, thermal pads, dual PWM fans) and dedicated heatsinks for all M.2 slots.
  • PCIe 5.0 M.2 Slot: Access PCIe 5.0 storage speeds with the top M.2 slot, plus three additional PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, all with an easy-to-use quick release latches
  • Connectivity Features: Built-in support for Wi-Fi 7, 5Gbe ethernet, two USB 4 ports for 40 Gbps speeds, and Bluetooth 5.4, and high-fidelity Realtek ALC4082 audio.
  • DDR5 Memory: Four dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots accelerate load times, boost frame rates, and enable seamless multitasking.
  • Integrated NZXT RGB Lighting: Included are two NZXT 8-pin combo fan headers for simple connection and control of NZXT RGB Core single-frame fans and integrated RGB onboard zone controlled through NZXT CAM.

NZXT plans to release their new N9 X870E motherboards in Q1 2025. The MSRP of these motherboards will be revealed when they are closer to launch.
