ASUS unveils its ROG Matrix RTX 5090 30th Anniversary Graphics card
ASUS’ ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card has an 800W OC mode!
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of ASUS graphics cards, ASUS ROG has unveiled its most powerful graphics card to date, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090. This 3.8-slot RTX 5090 graphics card features a custom cooling solution, unique overclocking options, and other changes to declare GPU supremacy. This could be the most powerful RTX 5090 ever built.
This GPU can be powered using 12V-2×6 or using ASUS’ BTF power connector. If PC builders use both, they can access an exclusive 800W overclocking mode. This mode is said to deliver a “10% performance boost”. If this is true, this will be the most powerful RTX 5090 GPU available.
This GPU features a 3.8-slot cooling solution with four Axialtech fans. ASUS is using liquid metal as its Thermal Interface Material (TIM), alongside a “patented vapour chamber” design to further improve heat transfer. ASUS has also given the Matrix’s cooling solution “more condensed fins” to boost its cooling potential.
With its red elements, this new ROG Matrix GPU design celebrated the ROG brand’s classic red colour scheme. While this GPU features Aura Sync RGB lighting, it only makes sense for this GPU to use classic ROG RED lighting, even if other options are available.
With its new ROG Matrix GPU, ASUS has made a statement. They have used unique solutions to create the most powerful RTX 5090 graphics card available. That said, this GPU’s performance will only be available to users with a BTF motherboard. Furthermore, users need a beefy enough PSU to dedicate 800W to a single graphics card.
