Datamine unveils Naval Warfare plans for Battlefield 6

Naval warfare is coming to Battlefield 6, datamine unveils

Battlefield 6 is now available, and its launch has been a huge success, especially on PC. However, many gamers are disappointed in the game’s lack of naval content. There are no boats, landing craft, or amphibious vehicles in the game’s multiplayer. However, datamined information from Insider Gaming suggests that this may soon change. It looks like naval warfare is coming to Battlefield 6.

Code within Battlefield 6’s multiplayer files references two vehicles, suggesting that plans to add naval combat and naval elements are in the works. This content may arrive as new seasonal Battlefield content or as part of a DLC update. Below are the two stings of code that were found.

Game/GlacierMP/Kits/Vehicle_Neutral_Boat_RHIB

References to a jet ski are pretty self-explanatory. An RHIB is a “rigid-hulled inflatable boat”. These vehicles are part of Battlefield 6’s code, suggesting that naval content has been planned for the game for a while. Obviously, EA could add more naval or amphibious vehicles to Battlefield 6. Currently, it is unknown how these datamined assets will be used in Battlefield 6. If EA brings water-based combat to Battlefield 6, it may be in 2026. Battlefield 6’s official roadmap does not list naval content. However, it is possible that EA’s roadmap only includes some of the game’s planned seasonal content.
