DLSS 4.5 Dynamic and 6x Frame Generation to launch this month – Nvidia confirms

Nvidia confirms DLSS 4.5 Dynamic and 6x Frame Generations’ release date

Nvidia has announced that DLSS 4.5 Dynamic and 6x Frame Generation will become available to RTX 50 series GPU owners on March 31st. This support will arrive through DLSS Overrides as part of an opt-in Nvidia App beta update.

DLSS 6x Frame Generation increases Nvidia’s Frame Generation multiplier from a maximum of 4x to 6x. This means that for every traditionally rendered frame, DLSS can generate up to five additional frames. With Dynamic Frame Generation, Nvidia can dynamically adjust the number of generated frames to create the perfect balance between framerate, image quality, and latency. With Dynamic Frame Generation, gamers can set their ideal frame rate, and DLSS Frame Generation will be adjusted dynamically to best match it.

On March 31st, as part of our next opt-in NVIDIA app beta, overrides for DLSS 4.5’s Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and Multi Frame Generation 6X Mode will be released for GeForce RTX 50 Series owners. To opt-in to the beta, go to Settings > About in the NVIDIA app. An official release will follow at a later date.

Nvidia has confirmed that an “official release” for DLSS 4.5’s Frame Generation features will arrive at a later date for mainstream GeForce users. Nvidia’s opt-in beta is for gamers who want to try out their newest DLSS features as early as possible. Gamers will need to use the Nvidia App to access DLSS overrides, and this is an opt-in beta.

Note that Nvidia’s enhanced DLSS Frame Generation model also delivers enhanced image quality. Specifically, in-game user interfaces should be clearer due to Nvidia incorporating more engine data into DLSS. Users should expect improved image quality and clarity for static user interface elements.
