No Price Hike – Palworld sticks to its original price with its 1.0 release

PocketPair refuses to hike Palworld’s price after its 1.0 launch

Palworld will leave Steam early access with its 1.0 release on July 10th, and PocketPair has confirmed that the game’s 1.0 release won’t include a price increase. Unlike other developers, PocketPair doesn’t want to punish newcomers with higher pricing after their game leaves early access. With update 1.0, the game’s original $29.99/£24.99 price will remain.

For a limited time, PC gamers can still buy Palworld on Steam with a 30% discount. This discount ends soon, so sorry to everyone who reads this article late.

Palworld is a huge game that blends together survival, crafting, base building, farming, production, battling, and dungeon crawling. Players live in a world with creatures called “Pals”, which can be used to fight, work on farms/factories, or to complete other tasks. Players can build bases, create farms/factories, and explore the land and seas to uncover secrets. Palworld can be played alone or online, with up to four players in co-op mode. With dedicated servers, player counts can reach 32.

Palworld entered Steam Early Access in 2024, and the game has evolved a lot since then. Ahead of the release of version 1.0, PocketPair has confirmed that their game has over 40 million players. That’s a huge achievement for any game, especially one that wasn’t complete yet.

PocketPair could have increased the price of Palworld once it left early access, but they chose not to. For that, they deserve a lot of respect.
