GOG Preserves Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and delivers major improvements

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has entered the GOG Preservation Program

GOG has officially added Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time to the GOG Preservation Program. Through this program, GOG has preserved the original PC version of the game and has made it fully functional on modern PCs. Better still, the game now has native widescreen and ultrawide support, fixes for multi-monitor setups, and an overlay that lets you adjust the game’s new FOV and FPS caps.

Thanks to a new wrapper, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time can now run on modern PCs without hardware incompatibilities. GOG has also verified the game as stable on modern PCs, with a commitment to updating it to address any future issues. GOG will also provide PC gamers with tech support if they run into issues. Cloud saves are also available through GOG Galaxy.

Right now, the game is available on GOG at a 70% discount, for £2.59. The game is also available as part of a 4-game Prince of Persia bundle that includes Warrior Within, The Two Thrones, and 2008’s Prince of Persia Reboot for £9.32. Note that only The Sands of Time is part of the GOG Game Preservation Program.
