Bambu Lab teases its first 3D scanner, the S1
Bambu Lab will launch its first 3D scanner next month
Bambu Lab has started to tease its first 3D scanner, the Bambu Lab S1. With this scanner, Bambu Lab promises to deliver a tool that is “easy in hand” and delivers “Pro in every scan”. Like its other product, Bambu Lab aims to deliver professional-grade tools with a strong user experience and accessible pricing.
Based on Bambu Lab’s teaser image, the S1 is a black hand scanner with a pistol-style grip. The tool has multiple cameras that can 3D-scan objects. This lets users digitise real-world objects, making it easier to create 3D-printed replicas, replacement parts, and accessories.
As a Bambu Lab product, this scanner will be usable with Bambu Lab’s product ecosystem. This means that we can expect scans from this tool to work with Bambu Studio and Bambu Suite. Sadly, Bambu Lab has not unveiled the pricing or specifications of their new 3D scanner.
Following our 3D printers and laser cutter, stepping into 3D scanning is a natural extension of our ongoing vision: building a personal manufacturing hub by making professional-grade tools accessible,
With the S1, we are once again doing what we do best: rigorous engineering craft, professional performance, and an intuitive user experience that lowers the barrier to entry.
