CableMod reveals their custom vertical PCI-e bracket for ATX cases

One of the biggest problems with vertical graphics card mounting kits is that PC cases with native support often force graphics cards to sit extremely close to the enclosure’s side panels or tempered glass windows, limiting potential airflow to cause GPU temperatures to rise significantly in some cases.

Another problem is that vertical mounted GPUs are only available to PC case designs with built-in support or with heavy modifications, severely limiting their usability. CableMod hopes to solve both of these problems with their new Vertical PCIe Bracket, which can add Vertical GPU support to any case with seven free PCIe slots.

This bracket creates a vertical mount for an included PCIe riser card and ships with two DisplayPort extension cables to allow display connections to fit through standard slotted PCIe brackets. This bracket will add around 2CM of length to a GPU used with this system, which may limit the size of front mounted radiators or GPUs used with this custom bracket design.

CableMod has ensured that this bracket will look at home in most black PC cases, using a high-quality powder coat that matches closely with most of today’s case designs. CableMod’s steel construction will also ensure that the bracket remains solid and secure, even with heavy graphics cards.
