Cooler Master announces their TUF Gaming Alliance with ASUS

Cooler Master has announced a new brand collaboration with ASUS called the TUF Gaming Alliance, an initiative which will see both companies adopt similar brand aesthetics for select products to create a line of hardware with design cohesion.

As part of this collaboration, Cooler Master will create unique variants of some of their existing CPU coolers, cases and power supplies to match ASUS’ TUF branding, focusing on the brand’s focus on functionality and reliability, with most products in the lineup featuring a five-year warranty.

Below is a list of what products will be available as part of Cooler Master’s TUF Gaming range.

– MasterWatt TUF Gaming Edition 450W, 550W, 650W and 750W with 5 Year Warranty
– MasterAir MA410M TUF Gaming Edition with 5 Year Warranty
– MasterAir MA620P TUF Gaming Edition with 2 Year Warranty
– MasterBox MB500 TUF Gaming Edition with 2 Year Warranty

First off we have Cooler Master’s MasterAir MA620P and MA410M TUF edition coolers, which feature TUF branded tip plates with digital camo and fans with yellowish rubber highlights. I think these rubber elements clash with the RGB nature of these air coolers, forcing users into specific colour schemes, though I guess that is what happens when you make a brand-specific product like this.

On the case side, the MasterBox MB500 TUF Gaming Edition will feature a mostly black and get colour scheme, offering a TUF Gaming Alliance logo on the right side panel and Digital Camo on both the front of the chassis and on the enclosure’s left/windowed side panel. In all, this chassis offers users a more militaristic look, something which suits the TUF brand nicely.

On the PSU side, we have 450-750W versions of the MasterWatt, providing users with a five-year warranty and 80 Bronze certification. These models are TUF Gaming Editions of Cooler Master’s existing MasterWatt series, with the addition of Digital Camo being the only significant change to the design of these units.

These TUF Gaming additions to Cooler Master’s lineup offer a nice visual change for those who want to build and all TUF system, though it is worth noting that ASUS doesn’t ship TUF series graphics cards, which may make full system matching difficult.
