EK teases upcoming Vardar EVO RGB series fans

Over the past few months, EK has been going through the process of RGBifying their lineup of water blocks, releasing CPU and GPU RGB blocks as well as RGB enabled CPU+GPU mono-block solutions. With this in mind, it only ever seemed like a matter of time before the company expanded their RGB offerings to a broader range of components, extending their lighting prowess to other areas of the premium PC market.

EK has started to tease new version of their Vardar EVO fans, posting an image of a 120mm Vardar EVO RGB series fan. The Vardar EVO RGB will be the first EK fan to offer any form of LED illumination, with previous iterations providing solid black, grey or white colouring.

EK’s existing RGB water blocks typically support 4-pin RGB pinouts, leaving us to suspect that these new fans will offer the same functionality, giving them support for ASUS Aura, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light and ASRock RGB Sync. A more complex solution isn’t out of the question, though it makes sense for EK to offer RGB fans that can utilise the same control systems as their RGB-enabled water blocks.

At this time EK has not revealed the final specifications or pricing of these fans, stating that “It’s just a matter of time” before these fans will be released to the public.
