Leaked Intel slides suggests October launch for Coffee Lake Refresh

Intel’s upcoming 9000 series of processors have been filling the rumour mill for quite some time, with motherboard makers adding official support to their 300-series mainboards detailed specifications of these processes remain unknown. Yes, there have been plenty of leaks, but Intel has barely said a single word about their 9th Generation core processors in an official capacity. 

ASRock, in their recent 9000-series BIOS support announcement for 300-series motherboards, confirmed that Intel’s next-generation desktop processors would contain up to eight processing cores, though at this time everything else remains unconfirmed.   

Now, what appears to be an official Intel slide has been leaked, revealing a planned October release window for Intel’s upcoming i9-9900K, i7-9700K and i5-9600K processors, adding further weight to existing 9000 series rumours that present this processor naming scheme. This slide also backs up previous roadmaps that gave a late-September, early-October release window for Intel’s Coffee Lake-S refresh. 

Right now, Intel’s i9-9900K is expected to offer users eight cores and sixteen threads while the i7 and i5 models deliver users eight cores and six cores respectively without hyperthreading.
