Videocardz has been able to get an exclusive look at ASRock’s upcoming Z370 series of motherboards, which includes ATX, MATX and ITX series boards.

Intel’s Z370 chipset will be compatible with Intel’s upcoming Coffee Lake series of CPUs, utilising Intel’s LGA 1151 socket but in a new and unique way. Intel’s upcoming Coffee Lake series CPUs are not compatible with Intel’s older Z270 or Z170 series motherboards, making the 300 series chipsets the only way to utilise Intel’s latest CPUs, despite its use of the LGA 1151 socket.

Below we can see motherboards like the ASRock Z370 Killer SLA/ac, the Z370 Extreme 4, the Z370 Pro 4, the Z370 Taichi, Z370M Pro4 and the ITX Z370M-ITX/AC

As many of our readers will notice, these designs offer very similar features to Intel’s existing Z270 motherboards, offering 4 DDR4 DIMM slots dual M.2 slots and similar levels of USB 3.0, PCIe and SATA connectivity.

At this time the exact specifications of these boards are unknown, so it is possible that 300 series chipsets will offer more than their Z270 counterparts, perhaps the addition of several more USB 3.0 or 3.1 ports or similar connectivity upgrades.
