AOC unleashes an affordable 31.5-inch 1440p FreeSync display
AOC has officially announced their new Q3279VWF display, which will release next month with an MSRP of £249 and come with a large screen size of 31.5-inches and a resolution of 1440p.Â
Â
This display is targeted at the value-gaming market, with this display offering AMD FreeSync support with a dynamic refresh rate range of 48Hz-75Hz, offering users an attractive dynamic refresh rate window when compared to standard 60Hz displays.Â
Â
The Q3279VWF will use an MVA panel type and offer an 8-bit+FRC colour depth to offer an effective 10-bit colour depth. This display will also come with a response time of 5ms, which isn’t super fast by high-end gaming standards though this is common for VA-type panels. The trade-off with VA is slightly slower response times but greater colour accuracy than TN, which make both display types viable options. Â
Â
Connectivity-wise the Q3279VWF comes with a VGA, DVI, HDMI (1.4) and DisplayPort inputs, with both HDMI and DisplayPort supporting AMD FreeSync. Â
 Â
Â
This display is designed to deliver both a high resolution and display size to everyone, offering an attractively low price and AMD FreeSync support to deliver a compelling user experience. The downsides of this display are easy to spot though, lacking VESA mounts, shipping with a fairly slow response time and coming with a fairly narrow FreeSync range, though this displays pricing will make up for these downsides for some users. Â
AOC has told us that this display is set to release in the UK in November with an MSRP of £249.Â
