ASUS reveals its next-level ROG Swift 360Hz eSports Gaming Display with Nvidia G-Sync – CES 2020

In the world of competitive gaming, speed is everything both when it comes to the hardware within your PC, and to the screens which display it. While some manufacturers are pushing 8K resolutions or 4K at 120Hz or sometimes 144Hz refresh rates, the gaming gurus over at ASUS and Nvidia know that professionals demand faster screens, not high-res ones.

For years, 240Hz was the norm for competitive gaming. Now ASUS has taken a step beyond that with its ROG Swift 360Hz monitor, delivering a staggering 50% boost in refresh rate alongside Nvidia G-Sync support. This screen is so fast; it can refresh almost 60 times in the blink of an eye, making standard 60Hz screens snail-like by comparison.

While this screen is a mere 24-5-inch Full HD (1080p) monitor, it’s hard to argue that this is the resolution and form factor that’s preferred by esports champions. This screen refreshes six times faster than a 60Hz display, and you can be sure that ASUS and Nvidia have done whatever they can to lower screen latencies to deliver the best possible gaming experience.

Offering 360Hz on a monitor is a world first, but sadly, neither ASUS or Nvidia have confirmed when the ROG Swift 360Hz be released, or how much it will cost.

Nvidia has confirmed that this screen uses a display from AU Optronics, with Nvidia providing custom-tuned G-Sync firmware to help deliver the lowest latencies possible alongside this screen’s staggering 360Hz refresh rate.
