ASUS releases pricing and release date of their PG27UQ G-Sync HDR monitor
The specifications of this display area already well known within hardware circles, using an AU Optronics 27-inch HDR 10 compliant display and a G-Sync module to offer a 4K display resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, G-Sync variable refresh rate support and full HDR10 functionality. To achieve this ASUS are using DisplayPort 1.4 to provide this display with enough bandwidth to facilitate a 4K resolution at such a high refresh rate, with today’s DisplayPort 1.2 4K monitors maxing out at 60Hz.  Â
The ROG Swift PC27UQ is listed as having a 4ms grey-to-grey response time and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, using a Quantum Dot IPS panel to deliver bright highlights and deep blacks when combined with this display’s 384-zone Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) backlight.
