Cooler Master reveals GM219-30 and GM219-35 Gaming Displays

Cooler Master plans to enter the gaming monitor market, having announced their upcoming GM219-30 and GM219-35 displays at Computex 2019, offering support for VESA adaptive sync and 21:9 aspect ratios.

Unlike some other monitor brands, Cooler Master had decided to give their monitors a clear naming scheme, with the GM219-30 being a 21:9 monitor with a screen size of 30 inches. We need only look at monitors such as the ACER VG270bmiix to appreciate Cooler Master’s clear naming scheme. Hopefully this trend catches on amongst other manufacturers.

Cooler Master plans to release both their GM219-30 and GM219-35 monitors before the end of 2019, with both screens utilising VA panel types while the GM219-35 boasting support for AMD’s FreeSync 2 HDR technology.

The 30-inch GM219-30 will support refresh rates of up to 200Hz and offer a display resolution of 2560×1080. The screen will offer users an adjustable stand, some form of HDR support (unconfirmed specification) and offer a 1ms response time. The screen’s MSRP is said to be $399.99, though this may change before launch.

Cooler Master’s higher-end GM219-35 screen will boast support for FreeSync 2 and an unconfirmed DisplayHDR specification. The monitor will support refresh rates of up to 120Hz and offer a native resolution of 3444×1440. The MSRP of the GM219-35 is said to be $999.99, though this may change before the screen’s retail release.
