Galax’ single-slot GTX 1070 Katana is now available in the US, offering GTX 1070 performance in a slimmer package than any of their competitors.

This GPU is now available on the Galax store for $419.99, coming with an all copper heatsink which is cooled by a single turbine-style fan. This GPU will come with base/boost clock speeds of 1518MHz and 1708MHz, which is a 12MHz and 25MHz boost in clock speeds over Nvidia’s reference designs respectively.

Galax’s new slim GTX 1070 design will also come with a single DVI output, a single DisplayPort 1.4 output and a single HDMI 2.0 output, which will allow this GPU to connect to most modern displays. Sadly this means that this GPU is not usable with multiple DisplayPort displays like most other GTX 1070 GPU designs.

With such a slim cooler design it is unlikely that users will be able to overclock this GTX 1070 design without a significant increase in fan speeds and noise output, though this GPU is nonetheless a great offering for those that are using compact cases or wish to use a powerful GPU without restricting the use of their other PCIe lanes.

PC gamers in the US can now purchase Galax’s GTX 1070 Katana for $419.99.
